1st December

Today our class went with Mrs. Beller on a half of Polish, English and PE lessons to a place called "Aula Forum", where takes place a lot of events, shows etc. We saw a performance, prepared by students of secondary school in Polkowice, which was called "O krakowskich psach i kleparskich kotach". Students also tell us about their trip to Krakow: showed us some photos and a video. I really enjoyed the performance, I got interested in the theatre and decided to enrol myself to a a school theatrical circle. Maybe sometime I will go for it :")

23rd December

Uhh, the room is cleaned, the tree decorated and Christmas cookies decked, finally a rest. What an actve day! But, hey, cheer up! Tomorrow is the Christmas Eve! Oh, I'm sorry, I have to go and do something. Bye!

22nd December

Today was such an exciting day! We had Christmas Eve with our class! It wasn't real, because there are 2 days until Christmas, but there were also lots of fun and food (of course, we ate dumplings), haha. :D Almost everyone brought something. There was Christmas music and I told my class a little about Christmas traditions in other countries.
From tomorrow for about 2 weeks is the 'Christmas break', we don't go to school, but not everyone is happy, I'll miss my class!

17th December

Wow! There are only 7 days until the Christmas Eve! I can't wait for it! I love Christmas... Food, Christmas tree, presents, family and then we don't go to school! My brother and my grandma will come for Christmas. There are also only 5 days to the Christmas dinner with my class. It isn't the real dinner, we just want to spend time together, eat, laugh and maybe sing (Ola has to prepare some Christmas music).

14th December

Today me, Ola and Weronika competed in English competition, so we weren't on one lesson. The contest was very, very difficult, for example: we had to write the English name of a thing which I don't even know in Polish, or the name of a person whose photo we saw. I got 21 points and I think that's a good score, but I hope I won't get to the final, because people who qualify have to write an essay and read a book in English. When we were on the contest, other students met with a Spanish woman who came to our school and talk with them. I'm a bit sad I wasn't on that lesson, but it might recur in future.

11th December

Yesterday the teacher remembered me that I have to compete in a biology competition, so today I wasn't on Physics (other students were writing a short test, but not me :D). The contest wasn't as difficult as I thought and I think that I wasn't performed so bad. The worse news is that I have to wrote that test next week and I should take someone's notes from lesson and learn to it.

7th December

Today our class and class 1c went to Wrocław in order to contribute to linguistic workshops. They were our second workshops this year. We met there with Cassandra, very friendly and funny American (she lives in Washington state), who told us about American folklore, urban legends and Christmas traditions in States. Workshops were divided into two parts, between which was a short break. In the second part Cassandra told us about american Christmas food, plays and traditions. We sang a couple of american Christmas songs, Cassandra has such an amusing voice! After that she was asking us about Christmas in Poland and was very surprised about some things. We tried to explain to her what are 'barszcz', 'uszka' and other dishes, it was so funny! :'D Later we went for about 40 minutes to 'Magnolia', a really big shopping centre in Wrocław. There is a shop with foreign food which I forgot to visit on the previous trip. I bought there some candy. :)
I liked it very much and I hope that they weren't our last workshops, I enjoy getting to know new cultures. :)

23rd of November

I was astonished a lot when I woke up in morging, it was SNOWING! I knew that it could make the Monday happier. I like snow, I love when everything is white (but not the car when I must go to school with mom). But today snow melted and didn't stay on the ground, it was too warm. *~*It's the first snow in this season.
I hate Mondays because we've got 8 lessons. Great, eh? The first day in a week and 8 classes (also Biology, Chemistry, Maths) :( But today it snowed almost all day and all students were distracted. I think it wasn't as bad as teachers think.

13th November

Ahhhh, today I had to go back to Polkowice, because yeasterday I lost my keys somewhere round school. Without keys I was unable to open the door and I had to wait for my mom to come. I was waiting about three hours! It was cold and windy! I'm stupid. How can I left keys in the town?! Fortunately, today I found it. I often lose things in school, but I usually found them.

11th November

Today in Poland is Independence Day! We don't have to go to school, because it's holiday for everyone in Poland. Tomorrow and the day after tomorrow are also holidays in our school. I'm soooo glad! At last I'll rest, watch a couple of movies, sleep. Oh, but tomorrow Ola and I have to go to school to prepare ourselves for the competition called "zDolny Ślązak". We went to school at 8 a.m. and left about 9.30 a.m. We had to solve tasks and talk in English.

5th November

Ehh, yesterday was a short test from history. I thought that I wrote it good, but today I know my mark. I got 3... I'm not happy. But, why do I need to worry? It's only one bad grade. I should study more next time.

28th October

Today my class and I were in Wrocław, on English workshops! Two men (foreigners) were talking to us in English and they were giving us commands - we had to dance, sing, perform. I think it is a good way to learn English. The first part was their skits. They were very funny! ^^ Richie and Kaidar changed their fancy dresses and played various characters. In my opinion, the most funny thing in these skits was Kaidar playing grandma. :"D The second part was theatrical workshops. Then we were important and we performed on the stage. After workshops we went to a big shopping centre called Magnolia. Girls were really happy (by the way, I don't know why they so extremely love shops). I went only to McDonald's, because there was no time for other shops. I feeled disappointed, I didn't know that there is shop with food from other countries.

Our teacher said that probably we'll go for next workshops in december. I'm looking forward fot it!

31st September

Today was the Boys Day! (I don't know, is this day also in the UK?) On English lesson girls went to the class after everyone, sang the song an give us big chocolate bars. We were so surprised! We (boys) thought that they forgot about us, but we were wrong. I like surprises... but only good surprises. This day was one of better days from 1st September to now. :)

21st September

Another ordinary day. It was so boring. We got lots of homework. Maybe next day will be more interesting, we shall see.

15th September

Today I became the class treasurer. I was a little sad, because I got only 1 vote. Of course, I haven't won, but my classmate Dawid said that he don't want to be class treasurer. Since today I'll collecting money, buying needed stuff and paying for several things. I'm glad, because I want to be active in our new class.

Today professional photographer came to our school and took photos of us (of whole class). I'm curious about this picture, because we haven't seen it yet. I don't like class photos, I'm not photogenic and I prefer taking selfies.

A week in new school!

I really like this school as a building - classrooms are well-equipped and the canteen here is bigger than a canteen in primary school. This week we had first classes and we had to wrote "Przedmiotowy System Oceniania", which means "School Grading System" (?). I'm not sure, is it right translation? I hate it, because we had to write almost the same text on every lesson. We were writing a lot of tests, which had to check our skills. Today, while we were sitting in the classroom, 3 girls from the 3rd class came and they gave us classes.

3rd September

Today English teacher (and also our educator) give us long-term homework, because she want to get to know our skills. It's called "All about me" and we must prepare photos and say something about us, our family etc. I'm going to make a short presentation with pictures.

2nd September

Today was the first biology lesson and I'm so suprised, because the teacher is very kind, cheerful and fair. I liked her because she's different from other teachers. Today I also ate my first meal in the canteen. It was good and there wasn't big queue (in contrast to our primary school).

1st September

Hi! Yesterday was the first day in my new school - Maria Skłodowska-Curie Junior Highschool. It wasn't good, because I missed the bus and I went to school by my bike. I met a lot of new people and I know only 5 of whole class. There are only 4 boys (except me) and 16 girls. I think that I'll find new friends in this class.
